Although originally more than 20 years ago it was indicated that anti‐IgE improved severity in peanut allergy48 only recently was this substantiated for several food allergies and is now FDA approved (https://www.fda.gov/news‐events/press‐announcements/fda‐approves‐first‐medication‐help‐reduce‐allergic‐reactions‐multiple‐foods‐after‐accidental) for the treatment of food allergies.49 This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and food allergy.
