NFKB1 and ovarian neoplasm: Chefetz et al. (2014) employed Aurora-A inhibitors to induce cell cycle arrest in ovarian tumor stem cells and demonstrated that these inhibitors enhance the nuclear accumulation of IκBα to suppress NFκB activity, thus suggesting a potential role for Aurora-A kinase in regulating cell cycle progression through the modulation of the NFκB pathway (Figure 5B).
