RAP2B and colorectal carcinoma: Additionally, we have shown that the depalmitoylase ABHD17a is responsible for the removal of Rap2b palmitoylation (Fig. 4), and that PI3K may phosphorylate and deactivate ABHD17a, leading to an increase in the level of palm-Rap2b (Figs. 5 and 6) and promotion of CRC metastasis through activation of the AKT-GSK3β signaling pathway (Fig. 3).
