Importantly, our strategy of inhibiting Rap2b palmitoylation using PTG-101, a peptide designed to block C176/C177 palmitoylation, successfully relocates Rap2b from the PM to the cytosol, inhibits AKT-GSK3β signaling, and suppresses CRC metastasis both in vitro and in vivo (Figs. 7 and 8). This evidence concerns the gene RAP2B and colorectal carcinoma.
