IFNB1 and infection: MEM-288 infection of thawed and suspension-cultured ascites resulted in increased secretion of IFNβ (mean concentration of 257 pg/nl in MEM-288, 0 pg/nl in Adv-GFP, 0 pg/nl in saline-treated controls, p < 0.0001) (Fig. 1E) and increased CD40L expression (16 % for MEM-288, versus 1 % in Adv-GFP, 1 % saline-treated controls, p < 0.0001) (Fig. 1F).
