Methods: This study measured protein concentrations of HTRA1, TGF-β1−3, and vascular endothelial growth factor A (hereinafter called VEGF) in the vitreous humor from seven eyes of patients with chorioretinal vascular diseases (age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion) and six control eyes (idiopathic epiretinal membrane and macular hole). Here, VEGFA is linked to retinal vein occlusion.
