In TNBC (Triple-Negative Breast Cancer), one of the breast cancer subtypes, CENP-A, is thought to play a pivotal role together with a transcription factor, FOXM1 (Factor Forkhead Box M1), and other glycolysis-related genes in TNBC proliferation, cell migration, metastasis and metabolism reprogramming (Figure 4) [185]. This evidence concerns the gene CENPA and breast carcinoma.
