The levels of SPM precursors in the adipose tissues involved in the synthesis of resolvins (18-HEPE), protectins (17-HDHA), and maresins (14-HDHA) were found to be lower in the mice with diet-induced or genetically mutated obesity than in the non-obese mice [13,34].
