KTRs displayed both a higher number and percentage of classical CD14++CD16− monocytes [479 IQR (354–599)/μL and 87.1 (IQR, 83.6–90.1)%] compared to their CKD counterparts [366 (IQR, 258–438)/μL and 81.7 (IQR, 75.9–85.6)%, p = 0.001 and 0.000, respectively].
