The RT-qPCR analysis demonstrated a significantly higher LOXL3 fold change gene expression in the BRAF+ melanoma than in the BRAF− melanoma (p = 0.0214), dysplastic nevus (p = 0.0035), and melanoma in situ (p = 0.0024) (Figure 2b). Here, LOXL3 is linked to in situ carcinoma.
