The expression of POSTN is associated with chronic inflammatory diseases, such as heart failure [6,7,26,27], diabetic retinopathy [8], cancer [13,16,17,18], stroke [28,29], osteoarthritis (OA) [30], asthma [9,10], allergic conjunctivitis, chronic sinusitis/chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps [31], and atopic dermatitis [10], which are increasingly being observed. This evidence concerns the gene POSTN and heart failure.
