Recent studies comparing these factors in the context of different types of cancer [78,79,80,81] suggest that the use of CD105 as a marker of microvascular density (MVD) may provide better prognostic indicators of disease progression and prognosis than CD31 or CD34 in many types of cancer [78,79,82,83,84], including NSCLC.
