Importantly, serum GKN1 concentrations measured in seven other types of cancer, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), colorectal (CRC), breast (BRC), and ovarian (OVC) and prostate (PRC) cancers, did not show significant differences compared with controls, supporting GKN1 as a potent, specific diagnostic biomarker for EGC and advanced GC. The gene discussed is GKN1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
