CD38 and neoplasm: High expression of M1 markers such as CD38 and CD80 and high infiltration of M1-like macrophages were associated with improved overall survival in the TCGA SKCM dataset (Fig. 1A-B), whereas high expression of M2 markers ARG1 and CD163 and high M2-like macrophage tumor infiltration was associated with poor survival (Fig. 1C-D).
