The blood markers most strongly associated with 28-day mortality in COVID-19 patients were lowest albumin level, peak neutrophil count, and peak CRP (p < 0.001), while the strongest markers for pneumonia patients were lowest albumin level and age on admission (p = 0.043 and p = 0.001 respectively, Fig. 5, Table 4).
