NFKB1 and autoimmune uveitis: Some studies found that TLR4/NF-κB pathway proteins were highly expressed in autoimmune uveitis (Liu et al., 2022; He et al., 2023),another study showed that the TLR4/NF-κB pathway was activated in high IOP-induced retinal ganglion cell damage (Shangli et al., 2024), TLR4/NF-κB pathway-associated proteins were also highly expressed in retinal inflammation caused by microglia activation (Han et al., 2020).
