Consistent with the decrease in fasting glucose levels, the DJB group showed a significant improvement in glucose intolerance (Figure 1(h)) with increased responses of insulin, GLP-1, and GLP-2 secretion (Figures 1(i), 1(j), and 1(k)) during OGTT, as well as improved insulin intolerance 6 weeks postsurgery (Figures 1(l) and 1(m)). This evidence concerns the gene GCG and Glucose intolerance.
