Consistent with analysis of the apical tuft in APP/PS1 mice, puncta density was significantly decreased in Tg2576 transgenic mice compared to wild-type littermates (Tg2576 WT 3.65 ± 0.14 vs. Tg2576 AD 3.24 ± 0.14 puncta/μm, p = 0.043; Figures S4A–S4D). The gene discussed is PSEN1; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
