Chiang et al. described five different classes including ‘CTNNB1’ enriched for CTNNB1 mutations and ß-catenin nuclear localisation, ‘proliferation’ enriched for IGF1R and RPS6 phosphorylation, ‘interferon (IFN)-related’ associated with smaller tumour size, a new class ‘polysomy of chromosome 7’ and one ‘unannotated’ associated with the focal gains of VEGFA (Fig. 1a, b) [6].
