Across all cancer models, we found several Mt genes downregulated in CBFβ-deficient cells, including Mt1 and Mt2 (mouse) and MT1A, MT1E, MT1F, MT1G, MT1M, MT1X, and MT2A (human) (Fig. 2E), further suggesting that metal ion homoeostasis is substantially altered in these cells. The gene discussed is MCAT; the disease is cancer.
