To this end, we selected two compounds with different characteristics: Cirtuvivint (SM08502, Cir) [38] a pan‐CLK/DYRK inhibitor currently undergoing phase I clinical trials in patients with solid tumors including PC (clinicaltrials.gov: NCT03355066, NCT05084859), and Lorecivivint (SM04690, Lor) [39], an inhibitor with highest affinity for CLK2 [40] with finished phase III trials for osteoarthritis of the knee (e.g. NCT04520607). This evidence concerns the gene CLK2 and pachyonychia congenita.
