On univariate analysis, this study found that factors like diabetes, liver cirrhosis, raised CRP on POD-3 and POD-7, pre-operative serum prealbumin level <0.15 g/L, prolonged operation time, intraoperative bleeding >120 ml, vascular reconstruction, a soft pancreas, and a main pancreatic duct diameter ≤3 mm were significantly associated with a higher risk of unplanned reoperation within 30 days following LPD. The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
