Therefore, the present study aims to (1) examine individual differences in DNA methylation patterns within the GR receptor NR3C1 and the FKBP5 genes in relation to personality vulnerability to depression, resilience, and perinatal depressive symptoms, whilst also controlling for early life traumatic events, and (2) assess the possible moderating effects of traumatic events on the association between DNA methylation and the aforementioned outcomes. Here, FKBP5 is linked to depressive symptom measurement.
