When we dichotomized by DM, we found higher CD14+CD16+ monocyte transmigration was associated with poorer T scores in the cognitive domains of memory encoding and memory retrieval among those with DM (r = –0.629, P < 0.05, and r = –0.669, P < 0.05, respectively, n = 14, Pearson’s correlation) (Table 2 and Figure 2B). The gene discussed is CD14; the disease is diabetes mellitus.
