AKT1 and pancreatic neoplasm: Silencing CLU at the gene expression level using siRNA or antisense methods enhances chemosensitivity to various drugs, including interfering RNA with genotoxic agents (Trougakos et al., 2004[168]), tamoxifen treatment in breast cancer (Redondo et al., 2007[134]), cisplastin in renal cell carcinoma (Lee et al., 2002[84]), gemcitabine in pancreatic cancer cells (Xu et al., 2015[184]), cisplatin efficacy increased by reducing AKT and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in lung cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo (Zhang et al., 2014[189]).
