MyD88 (myeloid differentiation primary response 88) is an adaptor protein that plays a significant role in initiating and amplifying the immune response in atherosclerosis by inducing signalling from multiple receptors at the plasma membrane and endosomes (Akira 2003; Podrez et al., 2002; Ishii et al., 1996; Ma et al., 2022). Here, MYD88 is linked to atherosclerosis.
