Out of these 45 cases, 20 (32.3%) cases showed higher expression of COX-2 when compared with all cases (three out of nine cases showed low expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) 1, two out of three cases showed low expression in CIN 2, two out of two cases showed moderate expression in CIN 3 and one out of three cases showed low expression in adenocarcinoma) as shown in Table 3, Figures 1-4. This evidence concerns the gene PTGS2 and adenocarcinoma.
