Anjiki et al. [2] reported a case of hypergastrinemia (serum gastrin level: 10,206 pg/mL (reference range: 37-172 pg/mL)) and ECMs in a patient with adenocarcinoma within a hyperplastic polyp detected during long-term proton pump inhibitor therapy for H. pylori infection. Here, GAST is linked to adenocarcinoma.
