Ko et al. compared the prognosis following treatment with gefitinib between EGFR‐positive NSCLC patients with Stage IV disease (119 patients) and EGFR‐positive NSCLC patients with PR (49 patients) and reported that the prognosis was better in patients with PR (median post‐recurrence overall survival [PRS]: 22.2 vs. 51.1 months; HR, 0.39; 95% CI, 0.22–0.66; p < 0.05) (median observation time [PRS], 24.6 months). The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
