Two SREBP target genes, LDLR and squalene epoxidase (SQLE), had an FDR of ≤5%, and high expression of each gene was significantly associated with worse overall survival in patients with pancreatic cancer (P = 0.00013 and P = 0.00074, respectively; Fig. 8E). The gene discussed is LDLR; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
