It is believed that the level of thyrotropin receptor antibody (TRAb) in GD patients is increasing, and it will produce pro-inflammatory factors and glycosaminoglycans after combining with thyrotropin receptor (TSHR) in adipocytes and fibroblasts, leading to diplopia, exophthalmos, conjunctival congestion, and even blindness (Bahn, 2015). Here, TSHR is linked to blindness (disorder).
