A commonly used anti‐angiogenesis drug in clinical practice is systemic sirolimus (Rapamycin) that can inhibit the bioactivity of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) involved in vascular repair and suppress the endothelial cell differentiation.[10] However, the combinational anti‐cancer effect between mTOR inhibitors and photosensitizers for anti‐angiogenesis and improved PDT has not been explored before. Here, MTOR is linked to cancer.
