For MDM2 rs2279744 (309T>G) (n = 4), two studies in lung cancer patients observed a protective effect for grade 3-4 thrombocytopenia (OR = 0.472; 95% CI: 0.257–0.866; p = 0.015) (Zheng et al., 2017) and grade 3-4 neutropenia (OR = 0.27; 95% CI: 0.08763–0.8859; p = 0.030) respectively (Wang et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene MDM2 and lung carcinoma.
