Recently, based on network pharmacology and molecular docking, we found that luteolin could suppress liver cancer cell proliferation by promoting apoptosis and via cell cycle arrest through various signaling pathways related to the Ser/Thr/Tyr residue binding site–containing proteins such as MAP2K1, EGFR, PIK3CA, MET, SRC, and AKT1 (Mo et al., 2023). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is liver cancer.
