A total of five variables associated with depressive symptoms in PCOS patients were statistically significant in the model, including hirsutism (OR = 2.530, 95%CI: 1.190–5.377, p = 0.016), LH/FSH ≥ 2 (OR = 2.858, 95%CI: 1.400–5.836, p = 0.004), perceived social support (OR = 0.944, 95%CI: 0.917–0.971, p<0.001), sleep quality (OR = 1.246, 95%CI: 1.131–1.374, p<0.001), and belief illness (OR = 1.082, 95%CI: 1.042–1.123, p<0.001). This evidence concerns the gene PLOD1 and Hirsutism.
