In the systematic review and meta-analysis by Li et al., which evaluated the comparative safety of different sodium-glucose transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors in patients with type 2 diabetes, it was found that remogliflozin and dapagliflozin were associated with a higher incidence of urinary tract infections (UTIs) compared to other SGLT2 inhibitors [23]. Here, SLC5A2 is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
