The expression of ALKBH5 was reported to be downregulated in HCC, causing elevated m6A levels and increased stability of Ly6/Plaur domain-containing 1 (LYPD1), leading to dysregulation of the ALKBH5/LYPD1 axis and promoting the progression of HCC (48). Here, LYPD1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
