In certain cancers such as renal cell carcinoma and bronchioloalveolar carcinoma, intratumoral neutrophils contribute to immune suppression and enhanced tumour growth through mechanisms involving myeloid‐derived suppressor cells, arginase, reactive oxygen species, B7‐Hx, PD‐1 and HGF.30, 31. This evidence concerns the gene HGF and renal cell carcinoma.
