The morphology of this case was very rare, occurring in a rather unusual location, subcutaneous in the occipital region (rather than in the thorax or meninges, where SFT is favored), and microscopically consisted exclusively of epithelioid cells, lacked the fibroblastic spindle cell population characteristic of SFT, and in addition was diffusely positive for CD99 (6). Here, CD99 is linked to solitary fibrous tumor.
