SMARCB1 and cancer: SFTs with complete epithelioid morphology can be easily misdiagnosed and needs to be distinguished from the following diseases: (1) Epithelioid sarcoma (ES): a malignant tumor with the unclear direction of tumor cell differentiation, clinically classified into classic and proximal types, occurring in the limbs of young patients, and is a superficial soft-tissue tumor (27); morphology reveals epithelioid cells, with immunohistochemistry of cytokeratins positive expression, molecular detection, and a lack of SMARCB1 (28).
