It is expected to elucidate the role and mechanism of IP3R1, especially downstream molecules/events that receive IP3R regulation in oocyte activation, which will provide new perspectives for understanding the physiology of human oocytes, exploring the causative factors of embryo development failure after normal fertilization, and developing diagnostic and therapeutic tools by detecting or manipulating the activity of IP3R for female infertility. This evidence concerns the gene ITPR1 and female infertility.
