Patients that accumulated methylation changes in a larger number of imprinted regions were diagnosed at an older age (above 1.5 years), with more advanced tumour (stage 3 and stage 4) and with an amplification of MYCN. Interestingly, NB cases with 11q deletion did not differ significantly in terms of number of imprinted regions undergoing methylation changes with the cases that had no alteration at 11q. This evidence concerns the gene MYCN and neuroblastoma.
