SIRT5 and cancer: In PDAC, SIRT5 was reported to deacetylate glutamic‐oxaloacetic transaminase 1 (GOT1), which converts α‐ketoglutarate and aspartate into glutamate and oxaloacetate, which in turn increased the levels of NADPH and reduced glutathione (GSH) which contribute to the maintenance of cancer cells redox homeostasis.
