Calycosin inhibits colorectal cancer cell growth through the PI3K/AKT pathway, upregulates basic leucine zip-ATF-like transcription factor 2 (BATF2) and downregulates plasminogen activator inhibitor-1(PAI-1), and inhibits TGF-β-induced cell migration and enhances the effect of TGF-β induction on cell apoptosis. This evidence concerns the gene SERPINE1 and colorectal cancer.
