SB reduced venous blood congestion and hydropic degeneration in the liver in streptozotocin-induced MASLD in mice [20], and also reduced the liver amounts of biomarkers of macrophage infiltration (cluster of differentiation 11c (CD11c) and F4/80 mRNA levels), monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1), and IL-1β mRNA in mice with hereditary MASLD [24].
