SOD1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Li H N et al. showed that 8 weeks of continuous administration of a 400 mg/kg dose of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharide (GDLP) significantly increased the expression of the Nrf2 and HO-1 proteins and increased the levels of SOD, CAT, and GSH-Px but significantly decreased the levels of MDA and TNF-α in HFD-fed db/db mice, which had protective effects on T2DM-induced hepatic steatosis, oxidative stress, and inflammation [105].
