CAT and epilepsy: Results: Patients with epilepsy showed increased activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase (p < 0.001), concentrations of glutathione disulfide and markers of nitric oxide metabolism (p < 0.001), and decreased activities of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase, glutathione, and nitrite concentrations (p ≤ 0.005) compared to healthy controls.
