This was due to the results of the FLAURA study—a double-blind, phase 3 trial comparing first-line osimertinib to gefitinib or erlotinib in patients with EGFR-mutation-positive NSCLC—that osimertinib achieved first-line status and became listed as a priority recommendation by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines in 2019 [20,21].
