The following must be stated in order to diagnose this condition: serum monoclonal protein (IgG or IgA) ≥ 3 gm/dL or urinary monoclonal protein ≥500 mg per 24 h and/or clonal bone marrow plasma cells from 10% to 60% without myeloma-defining events or amyloidosis [4].
