In conclusion, we found no evidence for overnight fasted premenopausal women with upper-body obesity with a BMI ranging from 28–37 kg/m2 having abnormal protein expression of HSL and AQP7 in mesenteric and omental VAT or abdominal and femoral SAT when compared to normal weight controls. Here, AQP7 is linked to obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
