Real-time PCR analysis of skin samples before tape-stripping revealed that the mRNA expression levels of various cytokines and chemokines, including IL-5, CCL11, IL-22, CXCL10, and IFNγ, were significantly increased in the depilatory cream-treated dorsal skin of TG mice without any detectable skin inflammation, compared to the depilatory cream-treated dorsa skin of WT mice (Figure 12).
