Endothelial dysfunction causes abnormal release of thrombotic and antithrombotic mediators, including TF, FVIII, thrombomodulin, vWF, endothelial protein C receptor, and protease-activated receptors, which cause hemodynamic alterations correlated with the progression of renal dysfunction, leading to thrombotic and bleeding events [36].
